Your #1 holiday home in Vence

Your #1 holiday home in Vence, the Villa Fontaine Vieille, near Nice on the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur is surrounded by a large Mediterranean garden full of flowers, palm trees, cypresses and mimosas. The idyllically situated seats in the shady garden and the verandas invite you to read, stroll, discuss and meditate. The property is situated just outside the old town walls and is close to the historic old town of Vence. Shops, boutiques, street cafés and restaurants are within walking distance.

The oldest parts of the villa date from the middle of the 19th century. The old parts were tastefully incorporated into the renovated holiday apartments. The interior decoration is based on the Provence style of southern France. Depending on the orientation of the balconies and terraces of the apartments, one has panoramic views of the Baou Mountains, the Lubiane River, the Matisse Chapel and the picturesque old town of Vence.

All apartments have a covered fireplace with a fireplace and a summer outdoor kitchen. The covered outdoor kitchen is equipped with a pizza oven and barbecue, a large dining table with chairs, crockery etc. Loungers, resting places and parasols complete the varied offer.

Guest reviews

It was our second time in Vence at Thurners and we enjoyed it again very much. The holiday apartment Nuages is equipped with everything what the heart desires. There are appealing dishes, matching wine glasses, for tea drinkers a teapot (which is not a matter of course - we have been to many FeWos!) with nice tea bowls, lots of cutlery, pots of every kind. In the kitchen cupboard we found not only a bottle of (good) olive oil and vinegar, salt and a pepper mill, but also various spices in very nice glasses. There is everything what one wishes for in a kitchen. Coffee can be prepared in 4 different ways (we don't have that many possibilities at home). There is a stock of tea lights (great!), candles, writing utensils, and much more. The apartment is tastefully furnished all around with a lot of love for detail and a view of the overall effect. One likes to move there, which is also due to the very pleasant contact and helpfulness of Thurners. We would like to come back in any case and thank you once again for the beautiful stay in the 'Villa Fontaine Vieille'.

My compliments! We have been guests at your place and would like to thank you for your hospitality, attention and care, whether everything would be all right, up to your willingness to provide us with forgetful bed linen at a late hour. The cleanliness and equipment of the holiday apartment meets all the requirements of a domicile for holidays. The location of the apartment/s is elevated above the hills with very good views and is quietly situated in a dead end street, the supermarket is 5 minutes away for meals. Everything that a person needs can be found here in the immediate vicinity. A return is actually a must!

Pure relaxation! We have been coming here for 12 years now, have already got to know almost all the apartments and for us, a holiday at Thurners is always pure relaxation. Apart from the great atmosphere of the garden and the Provencal ambience, we especially appreciate the proximity to the old town for shopping and to pick up croissants in the morning as well as the evening retreat from the bustle of the coast. So during the day you can make your excursions, visit all the famous places, go swimming... and in the evening, one returns to this small oasis.
